Why is it the lack of a ring on your finger can cause so much pain? Carole (not her real name) choked out her feelings. “She is 9 years younger than me. 9. Josh is crazy about her and he is so romantic it makes me sick. My throat gets as tight as a knot. Then I feel horrible. I LOVE my sister. I don’t want to feel like this but I can’t help it. It should be me. How can she get married first?”
Her story turned into sobs. I sat silently on the phone and listened. Like a spring storm, the sobbing subsided and blowing her nose, she sighed. “What if it never happens for me? What if I am a lonely bitter old woman with 100 cats? I can’t stand it…..and now I am going to have to be in HER wedding.” Sobs reignited….

Slowly but surely Carole and I turned the flow of her thoughts back into a better place and she recommitted to her own personal love attraction plan. There is no question that the engagement of a younger sibling, brother or sister, is a painful thing for the long time single woman.
That naked left ring finger makes a public spectacle out of itself.
There it is…out there for everyone to see….LOSER. It takes a mighty strong woman to see this in herself, this branding from the lack of a ring. It takes an even more magical woman to make the decision to do something about it.
Oprah and Goldie Hawn come to mind. Two mega successful, beautiful, vibrant, talented and influential women who have naked left ring fingers. What is it that separates them from other women who let frustration about their relationship status steal their happiness?
Can you control if you are single? Obviously not or you wouldn’t be reading this article. Can you control how much LOVE is in your life? Absolutely. THAT you can manifest pretty easily. Let me show you how. Here is an easy experiment for you to try.
The Rapid Love Manifesting Experiment
There is nothing more attractive than a happy, confident person. Admit it, a genuine smile….the one that comes from deep inside, is impossible to resist. That kind of smile works like magic. Can you control how much true happiness is behind your smile? Absolutely. Try this experiment for 1 week and see what happens.
Materials: Notebook or Device to keep notes.
The intention of Experiment: I, __________, join the many others exploring how fast we can all manifest unmistakeable loving circumstances and experiences within 7 days.
Procedure:
- Bridge to combined mindset: Answer this question true or false. There is only one way in the entire universe to feel loved.
- Learn your lines: As Noah St. John teaches in Afformations, asking creative and solution-oriented “why” questions results in a tsunami of positivity flowing your way. Here are several examples you can use or get creative and make up your own. (Feel free to add your Why Questions to the comments!)
- Why is it so easy to feel appreciated by the people I see every day?
- Why is it getting easier and easier to realize how many people enjoy my company?
- Why is it getting so easy for me to relax and enjoy the people in my daily life?
- Why is it getting easier and easier for me to see the kindness coming my way from strangers every day?
- Why is it getting so natural to notice and be kind to the clerks and cashiers in my life?
- Watch for evidence: As the week goes by, stay on alert for any random acts of kindness coming your way, no matter how small. In fact, the smaller the better. There really is something to the breadcrumbs thing…breadcrumbs lead you home.
- Record your results: I learned from Pam Grout in E- Squared and E-Cubed the power of writing experiments down. My whole life flipped upside down when I started doing that in February of 2015. Take this week and record every time someone is kind to you. Watch for gifts or you might even find money. Stay playful, ask your why questions and look for magic.
- Share with a friend: Surely you know a lonely person. Who couldn’t use a little love. It is when you think that only a certain brand of love, like Mother’s Love or Soulmate Love, can fill your heart, it is then that you will wait and wait to find it. Invite a buddy to do the Rapid Love Manifesting Experiment with you. Accountability makes for some powerful mojo.
